Mustafa Çavuş is a risk expert with a focus on helping banking, insurance and asset management clients to turn economic capital requirements (e.g. ICAS/Solvency II, ICAAP, Basel, MaRisk) into a competitive advantage - for one of the leading insurance companies in the UK, for example, designed and developed an advanced measurement operational risk framework which has been praised by the UK financial regulator as “cutting-edge”. He has worked with leading international financial institutions – his most recent assignments include efficient capital allocation, risk based decision making, capital aggregation, measurement of operational and enterprise wide risks as well as implementing stress tests and scenario analysis. After a financial economics degree in Germany, Mustafa has obtained his postgraduate degrees in business administration & finance in the UK (including a PhD from Manchester Business School).
