Bana Doğruyu Söyle, lütfen
12.08.2016-10.09.2016

Tell Me the Truth, please
12.08.2016-10.09.2016
"Dogs will bark, men will step in, one will have to earn money, and health will deteriorate. Further, the thing that aggravates all these challenges and makes it harder to withstand them is notorious indifference of the world. The world does not ask people to write poems, novels, short histories, and does not need any one of these. The world does not care about whether or not Flaubert has found the correct word or whether or not Carlyle painstakingly confirmed this or that reality."
Virginia Woolf, A Room of One’s Own, Contemporary World Classics
Do you think the fact that “situations peculiar to the man” as described by Virginia Woolf with a fluent and clear telling without having to resort to literary games are still being experienced and hurting us in our geographical territory in this century could be an indication of the reality that certain “correct pieces” are not at right places?
Maybe, it is time for us to care about showing “what is present” to the World without making additions or subtractions.
With the Exhibition entitled "Tell Me the Truth, please", relative values of the society are, once again, being brought to the agenda through an artist’s eyes and interpretation, and a new discussion is being started for accuracy and applicability of such values. The Exhibition sees everything which has happened and we have witnessed as a world matter beyond national borders and questions the same on behalf of the humanity by means of precision scales and universal language of the art: "Tell Me the Truth, please"
