Sanat dünyasına geçtiğimiz aylarda merhaba diyen Vis Sanat, 4 Mayıs – 4 Haziran 2016 tarihleri arasında,  Barış Cihanoğlu’nun " DESENFORMASYON /  DESIGNFORMATION " isimli solo resim sergisine ev sahipliği yapıyor.

Genç kuşak figüratif ressamlar arasında, ses getiren sergileri ve kendine özgü resim dili ile tanınan Barış Cihanoğlu, “Enformasyon Çağı”nda yaşanan yoğun dezenformasyona ironik bir göndemeyle   ‘’Desenformasyon‘’ ismini verdiği yeni solosunu, tümüyle kağıt üzerine yaptığı işlerden oluşturuyor.

‘’Desenformasyon’’ sergisinde, modelden kara kalem çizimlere, imgesel karalamalara, laviye, sulu boyaya, akriliğe kadar uzanan, gerek teknik gerekse malzeme açısından son derece geniş bir yelpaze dahilinde kotarılmış eserlere tanıklık ediyoruz. Barış Cihanoğlu’nun önceki sergilerinden aşina olduğumuz, dekupe edilmiş figürler ve üst üste binen katmanlar, bu sergisinde kağıt kolajlara dönüşmüş. Özenle oluşturulmuş sıradışı kurguları ve imge-leke ağırlıklı işleri, sanatçının neredeyse tüm dönemlerinden izler taşımakta.

Sanat yazarı Özcan Türkmen, sanatçının son sergisi için şunları dile getirmekte: ‘’Barış, deseni hiç terk etmeyen ender sanatçılardan. Ciddi emek ve sabır isteyen desenin, geleneksel ustalığına ulaşabilmek için canlı modelden çalışma disiplinini aralıksız sürdürdüğü gibi, teknoloji fetişizmine de hiç kapılmadı. Kendisini içinde bulunduğumuz dönemin birçok sanatçısından farklı bir yere taşıyan bu yönelimlerinin, “desenformasyon” sergisiyle birlikte semeresini vermiş olduğunu görüyoruz. “Ben desen ile özgürleştim” diyen Barış, tam da kavuştuğu bu özgürlük sayesinde, kendi imge dünyasını izleyiciye güçlü bir biçimde duyumsatmayı başarıyor. Kağıt işlerden oluşan “desenformasyon”, Barış’ın serbest kalem çizimlerindeki yetkinliğini sergilemekle kalmıyor, bize gelenekselin çağdaşla, tekniğin kurguyla, rastlantının yaratıcılıkla, bir sergi konsepti içinde nasıl harmanlanabileceğini gösteriyor”. 

Barış Cihanoğlu, sanatına sürekli yenilikler katarak, üretkenliği ve yaratıcılığı ile izleyenleri şaşırtmaya devam etmektedir.‘’Desenformasyon’’ sergisi, 4 Mayıs- 4 Haziran 2016 tarihleri arasında, Vis Sanat’ta görülebilir.

Vis Sanat which has recently opened its doors to the world of art will be hosting the solo paining exhibition by Barış Cihanoğlu entitled “DESENFORMASYON /  DESIGNFORMATION " from May 4th  to June 4th.

Known among the new generation figurative painters especially because of his attention-grabbing exhibitions and his intrinsic painting language, Barış , with an ironic reference to the disinformation which is densely felt in the “Era of Information”, has prepared his new solo called ‘Designformation‘’ totally out of works made on paper.

When viewing the exhibition ‘’Designformation” , we witness works achieved within an extensively wide range both in terms of technique and material from models to pencil drawing, imaginary scribbling, lavi, water color, acrylic. Decoupage figures and overlapping layers with which we are familiar from previous exhibitions by Barış Cihanoğlu have taken the shape of paper collage with this exhibition. Extraordinary fictions created with great care and works composed of notably image-stain bear traces from almost all eras of the artist.

Özcan Türkmen, the art writer, tells the following about the latest exhibition of the artist: ‘’Barış is one of rare artists who never leaves the pattern. Not only does he continue to work on live models with a view to achieving the traditional mastery of the pattern requiring a great deal of labor and patience but also he has never indulged himself in technology fetishism. We are able to observe that these orientations of his that brought him to a place distinguished from other artists of the present era bear fruits with the exhibition “designformation”.  Barış who says “I have freed myself with pattern” succeeds in making viewers strongly sense his own world of image thanks to that freedom he has embraced. “designformation” made of paper works both reveals mastery of Barış in free pencil drawing and shows us how the traditional and the contemporary, the technique and the fiction, the coincidence and the creativity can be blended with one another within an exhibition concept”. 

Barış Cihanoğlu continues to add new things to his art all the time, astonishing viewers with his productivity and creativity. ‘’Designformation’’ exhibition may be viewed at Vis Sanat at Levent from 4th of May to 4th of June.
